ROYAL NAVAL COMMUNICATION BRANCH MANAGEMENT ON SEA-GOING VESSELS c.1970

A look back to the beginning of the 1970's

COMMUNICATIONS BRANCH MANAGEMENT FOR WT, VS AND EW SUB BRANCHES.pdf

Please take note. This is a very large document about management of what you may consider is a relatively small naval branch, but be assured from someone who has been deeply involved in it, it is a vast subject involving a library of its own.

This pdf is 122 pages long

Many of you will remember books like, for example BR222 [THE TWICER] but if you look for that by name you are as likely as not to be referred to HMS Ganges records for they too have a twicer concerning the number of their ships at their Shotley depot.

Books like BR 4050 you may not have heard about, but it and others will guide you to complete success as HMS So and So's Communicators and your internal and external measure of competency.  These books form the core bibles for managing the Communications Branch, and whilst it was always the case, first of a class of ships burnt the midnight oil in producing the Management Bible, other ships in the Class formed their Bible by consulting  what had already been written, approved and set to work with the desired results. Moral of the story, avoid standing by the first of a class of ship. Nevertheless a good first eleven team [SCO, Branch WO's, Chiefs and PO'S] would be well advised to search through the recommended library and become au fait with EVERY ASPECT of management, for that knowledge is priceless and will be tested at several points and sign post during the commission.

Good luck.  Now click on the pdf above to open it.
